That’s it, folks. Over the past six months, the team at the Football Museum has been working tirelessly to carry out the renovation works of the main exhibition while simultaneously maintaining partial operation, with the temporary exhibition Toy Football and cultural and educational activities in our outdoor area. But the time has come to also refurbish these spaces, so that we have a sparkling museum once again when we reopen.
Thus, Toy Football will be on display until June 9th. If you haven’t yet visited this incredible exhibition on analog toys inspired by football, this weekend is your last chance. From June 10th, 2024, the Football Museum will be completely closed to finalize the renovation works. The closure will last for a few weeks, and the reopening date will be announced soon.
The works are progressing very well: inside, there’s that delightful chaos of many people working on various fronts – electrical installations, hardware, exhibition design, technology, visual communication, accessibility… gradually, everything we’ve put on paper is materializing in front of us, and we’re eagerly looking forward to sharing the news with everyone!
Here’s a little spoiler about an important thing that will happen in the Hall of Cups:
From now on, we will begin to showcase more behind-the-scenes content of the renovation on our social media channels. So, please continue to follow us, either on @museudofutebol, right here on the Renovation Blog, or through our newsletter – sign up here.
See you soon!
